Taora: Beginning - Casual Gaming Review

Image
Taora: Beginning Taora was developed by Tulpar Games and was published by Tulpar Games and TheGamesFortress. It's an open-world survival community builder. The key was given to me through a program called Keymailer so thank you devs for the key! This version of the game is a demo of the game Taora: Survival. Get it it's the beginning of the game? The Start You start out at a base where the game tells you to grab some tools from storage, right now the only things that are in your base are a storage area, some toilets, and a command center. The storage center is well a small storage area, you later will also be able to make a chest for more organization. The command center is where you can switch between community members and build other stations in the base.  In the storage, you can get a pick axe and an axe. The first task would be to go chop some wood. In the process of that, you'll eventually have to start building the various stations.  Workshop: The

Palia - Casual Game Review

Image
Palia This is a newer free-to-play MMO. It was developed and published by Singularity 6 Corporation.  It's a casual MMO in a sense. You can farm, cook, catch bugs, all with friends. I feel like it's Animal Crossing but with more people and things to do.  You can find this game on both PC and the Nintendo Switch. The best part is it's free!  Tools You have a few tools that will help you in the world, some can not be harvested until you upgrade your tool to a higher level. Makeshift tools don't need to be repaired while higher-level tools do have a durability mechanic to them. So you will have to repair your tools.  Axe - Chops trees  Pick - Mine ores and rocks Bow - Used to hunt animals Fishing rod - Used to fish Watering can - Used to water your crops Hoe - Used to plow to play crops Belt - Used for catching bugs  Crafting There is a wide range of things you can craft, between furniture better tools, and other crafting stations.  Worktable - This is

Enshrouded - Casual Gaming Review

Image
Enshrouded This is an action-adventure survival base-building game. It was developed and published by Keen Games GmbH. This demo key was given to me by the developers of a program called Keymailer. The demo was out for Next Fest. So, thank you for the key! Gameplay You wake up in a capsule inside a temple. You've been asleep for a long time. As you run out you pretty much have nothing, your first task being to make a base.  As you make your way to the waypoint on the map the game goes through basic concepts. Throwables can blow up and change the terrain as well as the other items. I dug myself in a hole at one point.  A lot of things are breakable so once I got something I could swing (a sword) I started to hit everything I could. Which was good because I was getting all sorts of materials.  There is something called well enshrouded, it's an area that is tainted. Having a light with you decreases the rate at which it affects you. But it's pretty much if

Evie - Cosplay

Image
Evie Evie is a playable character in the game Paladins: Champions of the Realm. It's a free-to-play game that you can play on well pretty much anything, Steam, PlayStation, Switch, and Xbox. Developed by Hi-Rez Studios, and Evil Mojo Games this was mainly squad-based FPS.  There are a few modes but the one I played the most was team vs team where me and a few buddies would team up and have to defend a cart that would slowly move through the level. Or if you were on the other team destroy the cart. The goal is to either prevent the cart from getting into the goal area or to stop it.  Cosplay Background Evie was one of the characters I enjoyed not only looks but also the dialogue. Of of my favorites is "I just want to live a normal life, without having to blow everybody up... Oh well!" The abilities she has were fun to play with but I always screwed it up. She had a basic attack from her ice staff. She could turn into an ice block to become immune to dam

Best things to get a kid for Christmas!

Need ideas for the Christmas list? It's the time of year were we don't really know what to get kids.  One sneaky way that I have learned to know what my kids want is to check out their gaming wish list.  Most gaming systems have a wishlist, Nintendo, Steam, and Xbox. Some you might not be able to see publically depending on their privacy settings, just log into their stuff at school and scope their wishlist.   I mean this also only works if they actually fill up their list too.  Xbox: Go to the Microsoft store, you can do this by pressing the Xbox button the the controller to open the guide and navigate to the store. Then you select lists and then wishlist.  If you have your own Microsoft account you can gift them the game, or you can just snag them an Xbox gift card and mention what they had on their list in the card.  Steam:  If they are on your friends list you can simply navigate to your friends list and view their profile. Then you can find a wish list

Billy BumBum - Casual Game Review

Image
Billy BumBum: A Cheeky Puzzler This game was developed by Frambosa and published by Bonus Stage Publishing. I'm a VIP member of Bonus Stage so thanks for the key guys! Billy BumBum is a puzzle story adventure, a nice game for a casual gamer.  Story You are a cube with a face and a well, bum. You are alone but find your mother which is a giant grunting dragon head? As you progress through the story you find friends and family members that you all link together to form some long kind of dragon with cube bodies that poots along. You can even talk to the cubes you find to learn and hear more from them. Gameplay The game is pretty simple. Your object is to move around until your bum is placed down into a hole. As you move the block doesn't slide but falls to the side that it's facing. So you'll have to figure out how to move to the end space while still being able to place the bum into the end-level hole.  There are multiple blocks that will pose a challe

MOMS with gaming kids, read this! (for couples too)

Rules for Moms (for couples too) Moms you really need to read this if you have gaming kids. (for couples too) We all want our kids to help out, come down and hang out with us, go to bed, or maybe we even have to leave soon. So I wanted to let all the moms of gamers, or you can even use this if your significant other games. Kids are more understanding when you also understand what they like as their hobby. This also goes for your significant other. As much as you may think it's childish, this is a great way to destress and a great hobby as well. Rules Despite what you think not all games can be paused. Here are some reasons and general explanations.  Most single-player games can be paused. But it's a time and place for others.  In the middle of a cut scene some can't, and no don't ask them to skip the cut scene these are vital to the storyline. It's like asking you to skip an episode of a series and still be expected to know what is going on.  Som
