Where it all started
Streaming
I wanted to give some background about what I currently do with streaming, how it started all the other things I do, and really a bit about myself as well. So, here is a bit about me and what I do!
Hi, my name is Jellie Rose and I am a Youtuber. I started streaming a little after Beam had the name changed to Mixer in 2017. A streaming platform then owned by Microsoft. A friend I played a lot of Xbox with just randomly asked, hey I'm going to do this streaming thing that is integrated into the Xbox, do you want to do it with me? There is a co-stream feature where we stream together and share a chat. We were playing a lot of 7 Days to Die at that point so I agreed because we were playing anyways. I had a Kinect, so it would auto-show my camera as a part of it, and thought it might be a cool way to have fun.
We joined communities together, and I joined a few teams that have come and gone. My friend eventually stopped streaming, but I kept going. While this was going on I also rekindled my love for cosplaying.
Unfortunately just when my numbers were starting to look good and I did apply for a partnership on Mixer, a lot of bad allegations happened not only in the streaming world but inside Mixer itself. There must have been already a deal in the works because Mixer was quickly sold and turned into Facebook Gaming. Not too many people were happy with this and felt betrayed. Since they felt that way a lot moved to other platforms, Twitch being the big one and where I personally moved. At that time I was also doing a podcast with a few others about comics and the nerdy world, who eventually moved to Youtube and then quit.
While I was on Twitch I did game review uploads on Youtube, but decided after a lot of changes and updates to Twitch to completely move over to Youtube. The big deciding factor was when I got accepted into the beta program for a bot I had been using since the Mixer days. Being able to use the bot that I had started using from Mixer to Twitch and now Youtube was a big plus. Seeing I had a lot of commands and things I have tirelessly made and came up with that I did not want to lose.
So now I'm over here on Youtube, doing live streams, shorts from my gameplay, and game review uploads.
Cosplay
Cosplay all started for me in high school, the first thing I made myself was a Witch Hunter Robin cosplay. I still have it, while it doesn't really fit like it used to. The second one I made was for Hand Maid May, my husband who was my boyfriend at that time cosplayed as the male lead honestly it's been so long that I can't even remember that character's name. I've done a lot of other random things since then.
Facebook became a place for me to display my cosplays and selfies. I would sell pictures on Patreon but with the pressure of coming up with something new every month I just stopped doing it.
Recently I have started to gain interest in the passion again. I have one that I'm working on Lisa from Genshin Impact that I have partly done. It's just that I have a lot of projects to do and they all get in the way of each other. I can say I really do miss going to conventions and meeting others and the cuteness that they come up with.
Gaming
When it comes to gaming, I am a huge fan of survival games. It was funny because I was talking about a game I was playing last night to Hubs and he just shakes his head and says "You and your survival games." I mean I do like other games too, tower defense games are relaxing, and RPGs are fun but really need some kind of character development and gear improvements. You know like all classic RPGs. I will play some action games, and really I got burnt out from the FPS games I will play them if asked but it's like rinse and repeat over and over.
I've had many systems over the years, including NES, SNES, Sega, N64, Gamecube, PlayStation, PlayStation 2, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Wii, Wii U, Switch, and PC. Oh, and let's not forget the various Gameboys, Gameboy Color, Gameboy SP, and 3DS.
I can see people go OH so you went from PlayStation to Xbox HUH? Well, to be fair Playstation 2 was like the best, and the 3rd one just wasn't hitting it for me.
Crafting
This is a huge thing for me, it's kind of like the background to everything. I mean making cosplays is crafting in itself. Not to mention the 3D prints and other random things I like to do. I used to paint a lot in high school, I was in a few classes that I enjoyed.
I have learned a little bit of digital art and am really getting better at it.
I pretty much use crafting as a way to make something for family members each year what do you get people that have everything? It's just easier to make something. Half of the streaming room you can't see on camera is actually just a craft room.
I have a whole other desk and tons of drawers and containers filled with things. It helps when the kids have to do a project for school. I already have everything they need.
Gardening
I do really like to get outside and take care of my flowers and a small garden. I'm happy my strawberries are looking great this year. Last year a groundhog came at ate them all. But I'm pretty sure the neighbor took care of it.
Lillies are one of my favorites, so those roses are the two things I have a lot planted.
My biggest problem is halfway through the summer I will forget I have plants and I won't water them and they will then all die.
Cooking
I love to cook, I mean I'm pretty much the only one that knows how to in my house. The funny thing is because my family loves my cooking so much they prefer the way I make things verse others or even some restaurants. To be honest some places just aren't worth the money you pay. I also like to make up things I have never heard of, or mix things together that someone doesn't think would normally pair together.
About me
I love animals, and I need all of them but keep being told "No more pets," who really wants to listen to that? As you know I love video games, crafting, cosplaying, gardening, content creation, and probably a lot of things I just don't know to list. I like to watch anime, cooking shows, and battle bots. I won't shut up unless I'm focused on something. I say things like super cute way too much. Random song bursts of actual songs or made-up ones will happen often. I get easily scared and will jump. I love to wear wigs and have a lot of them. I will talk about almost everything but stick to the rule of you "Don't talk about politics, religion, or money to friends." So I just stick to that in general. It's not something I want to talk about or enjoy talking about. I'll stick to talking about anything else. I love naps, and eating, which is fine because I also like to lift and work out so it kind of balances itself.
I'm sure there are things that I am missing but these are the main ones I can think of at the moment.
Taora: Beginning Taora was developed by Tulpar Games and was published by Tulpar Games and TheGamesFortress. It's an open-world survival community builder. The key was given to me through a program called Keymailer so thank you devs for the key! This version of the game is a demo of the game Taora: Survival. Get it it's the beginning of the game? The Start You start out at a base where the game tells you to grab some tools from storage, right now the only things that are in your base are a storage area, some toilets, and a command center. The storage center is well a small storage area, you later will also be able to make a chest for more organization. The command center is where you can switch between community members and build other stations in the base. In the storage, you can get a pick axe and an axe. The first task would be to go chop some wood. In the process of that, you'll eventually have to start building the various stations. Workshop: The...
Pet Shop Simulator Pet Shop Simulator is well a game where you have a pet shop and run it. It was developed by Games Incubator and published by Games Incubator, and PlayWay S.A. Gameplay This starts off with an empty shop space. You have to start with building a stock room to keep all the goods when the shelves are full. Then make sure you have a checkout and shelves to put items out. The finishing step is getting a rabbit enclosure to sell some pets. There are a lot of items to choose from, and I noticed that when your reputation goes up there are new items to purchase. Just like the fish enclosure, I didn't have it right away. Speaking of enclosure here are the pets you can sell in your shop; fish, bunnies, mice, turtles, and hampsters There are various kinds of shelving, hanging, small, and large. So of course there are different things that can be displayed on each of them. The products have a wide range. You can get cages and tanks, food and w...
