This Is The Police 2 - Casual Game Review

This is the police 2

This Is The Police 2 is an action strategy that was developed by Weappy it came out in 2018 on PC, PS4 & Xbox One. Later in 2019, the game was also released on iOS.  I never played the first one so I was a bit lost in the storyline. This is a huge story-driven game. At first, I thought it was going to be a top-down strategy movement kind of game but it only did that once at the beginning. It turns out this game has a lot of different elements to it.

I want to add that I’ve only played this game for 91 minutes. (because some guy complained once that I played a game for 20 minutes before doing a review. when in actuality I played that game for a total of 10 hours)

Gameplay

The top-down part was the basic turn-based movement. You move the enemy moves. You have various options like hiding behind the cover or using various weapons like batons, guns, etc, to cuff the suspect. Jimmying the window, and doors, breaking them or other things.

There are a lot of pick-your-ending type questions to answer. I would guess this is to build different relationships with people and to have different outcomes.

There are so many mechanics in this game. Because you also get to piece together different kinds of evidence to solve cases.

Then you also have to manage and send out your deputies for the day and make the correct schedule. Keep in mind that some people will call off, get tired, or just want a day off. Then you also have to make sure that their skills are high enough for each task.

When it comes to the map different crimes and incidents will pop up you have to quickly pick the correct people with the right equipment for the job. All equipment is given before that day starts.

Some of these tasks include more of the pick-your-ing type questions where you can end up catching or letting the bad guys go.

At the end of the day, everything is totaled up and you gain beer tabs to buy new equipment. If you lose a criminal you get some taken away from you for that day.

Investigations can take a few days to gather the evidence before being able to finish to be able to show what had happened.

Some of the incidents were hilarious and I can’t believe I failed some things.

Also at the end of each day, you get dog tags that you can spend to buy more equipment. If you let a bad guy go or kill someone you end up getting some subtracted from your total. So making sure you catch everyone is the way to go.

Story

The story was great from what I know of it (spoilers) felt like in the first game he was framed for something and escaped and wanted to live a nomad life here. But for some reason, the house that he was staying in was used as a drug drop and he didn’t know about it. Long story short he is somehow in jail convinces the new sheriff that he can help her and becomes part of the police force there. You play as the guy Warren Nash.
