Staxel - Casual Game Review and Overview
Staxel Game Review
So last week we played Staxel which in my thoughts was like you took bits from Stardew Valley, Minecraft, and a tiny bit of Roblox and mixed them all together.
You start out with someone scaring you right at the door after you notice your broken-down house missing pieces and having broken windows. She's like hey, I have a task for you. Which turns into many tasks for herself and others.
So you get some tools first to make a garden, then you learn how to sell things in the market. There are two shops plus the market you can buy various items from. Workbenches, materials, seeds, cows in crates, clothes. There are tons of things you can really grab.
Learning how to make things is next, taking various items to workbenches that each does something different after learning a blueprint for something. While some things are already automatically learned like lumber. You saw some lumber, then assembled it together with straw and three nails to get a trough. You'll need two of them to make a barn. There are signs that signify an area, and you have to meet those conditions for the area to be complete. Like a barn needs a roof and two troughs. A fishing area needs a bait box, fry rack, so much water, and for some reason like ten wood.
This is a really chill game where you catch fish, catch bugs, build relationships, and just build. From what I have seen so far there is no fighting. So it's like playing Minecraft on peaceful but with NPCs like in Stardew Valley. There is also a creative mode! You can start with up to four farms, so I would think that four might be the maximum amount of players.
I really liked this cute game!
