7 Days to Die Console and Pc?

So I've been playing 7 Days to Die since it first came out on Xbox One. Back then I was only on Xbox at that point. Looking up the date it came out on Xbox One in June 2016. In November of 2019, I started to play it on PC. So what I will be doing is going over what I thought of each console Vs PC version.

Console I fell in love with the game, it's hands down one of my favorite games. Survival, zombies, building I always described it as adult Minecraft. Pretty much the base of the game is built, eat, survive. Every 7 days there is a horde of zombies that come to your location. Everyone knows it as the blood moon. Each horde gets stronger, adding more zombies or different kinds of zombies that start once it hits night. The last update to the console was in July 2017 with Alpha 15. The last bit of news for the console is from 10/16/2019 you can find it here. Saying that Fun Pimps has "re-acquired full console publishing rights on the current and all future versions of 7 Day to Die on PS4 and Xbox One. There hasn't really been any other news about it on their site.

But because there are quite a few updates between the console and PC there is a bit of a difference. Pc is currently on Alpha 19 if you opt into the experimental updates. Making weapons is one. On the console, you have to find separate parts to combine them and that is what makes the 0-600 durability. While on PC there is 1-6 durability instead, and it has basic general parts versus getting a barrel, stock, etc.

There are a lot of differences between places as well. There are quite a few new places in the PC version but how everything is set up in general is a huge thing. On the console, all the zombies are outside looking to get in when you walk up to a building. You can find them roaming around places, but very rarely do you actually find them inside. But on PC, they are side the houses. The first day I played I did not know this and screamed my head off after opening a bathroom door and being met with a zombie in my face. I have not found one single bee in the PC version yet but I have found these vulture birds that want to eat me. There are a few different kinds of zombies some of them I have not met yet. I messed up my PC and had to wipe it and I forgot to move my Steam saves. I moved everything else but that, I only play the game during stream too. So I ended up making a new world and by the time I really got into the update came out and had to make a new world... My luck...  So I have heard about a lot of zombies that come later but I have not experienced them myself yet.

I have to say looks-wise it looks amazing with this latest update. But I have noticed it seems like loot is a little harder to come by. Before guns seemed to be found a bit easier, now all I find is a blunderbuss. It's also interesting to see everyone's base builds console it was mostly spikes and pits, but when you moved to PC there were a lot of things you could do to where zombies couldn't get in. Like not seeing doors or entryways because of the different things you can do.

Speaking of different things, on the console version the only vehicle you had was the minibike. On the Pc, there are so many different ones, the bike, minibike, motorcycle, truck, and gyro-copter. I am great at flying once I get in the air (as long as I don't hit the get off the thing button).

Leveling up and perks are VERY VERY different. I like how everything is laid out, I do not like that every single thing pretty much needs to be unlocked to have a schematic. There were so many things you could just make if you had the parts for it. The newest update I have noticed is that I have not seen one crack a book. On the Nazezgane map, it was replaced with a different building, and then we ended up deciding to change to a bigger random generation map. So I wonder if they took it out or not. They did change the buildings, and the working stiffs remind me of a Home Depot now, with a garden center and everything it is cute. It seems like they really wanted to limit some of the loot to make the game a bit harder if anything. Quest given by the traders is also a super fun addition!

All in all, on the console version the highest day I made it to was 270-290s so that is my goal for the PC version to try to get it up to close to that. Might take way longer since I only play it on one day but I'll manage.
